In My Maybach was developed on the idea of cruising in a Mercedes Maybach the ultimate Luxury Car & returning to a place in it to possibly pick up someone that was on my mind from a previous encounter.

“In My Maybach” possesses all the elements of the avant-garde fusion of R&B that I referenced above. It has a beaming, fun vibe to it with an instrumentation buoyed by a resounding bassline and its accompanying melodies emanating from the keys and trumpet. The trumpet riffs throughout the track are a key component in adding that jazzy feel to the overall soundscape. It creates an incredible groove that draws you into the track.
To give you the best visual possible, after repeated listens to the track, my mind conjures up images of Herbie Hancock, Herb Alpert, Stevie Wonder and the Funk Brothers coming together for an unforgettable jam session.
Furthermore, Jay complements the top notch production and musicality of the song with an emotive and engaging vocal performance. His voice rides the harmonics of the composition with a seamless flow and his tone has a swinging coolness to it.
