DJ Akademiks and DJ Wallah have become the latest to cosign buzzing Afro Drill record “Magic Sturdy” by Joe O.
Hot 97’s own DJ Wallah along with top hip-hop personality DJ Akademiks have been the latest to cosign “Magic Sturdy“; the afro drill smash sensation that was created by buzzing New Jersey artist Joe O.
“Magic Sturdy” has been gaining waves since its release. Amassing over 50,000 views on YouTube since its release and over 500,000 impressions across Instagram and Twitter, the record is indeed taking off. DJ Wallah became one of the first DJ’s to break “Magic Sturdy” on the radio after he debuted the record on Sirius XM Shade 45 radio station. He also recently called “Magic Sturdy” the biggest record on an Instagram clip.
DJ Akademiks also has recognized “Magic Sturdy”. He recently commented under the viral magic sturdy Instagram reel with fire emojis and proceeded to like the video (See screenshot below).
The first viral look for “Magic Sturdy” emerged when Nigerian American dancing influencer created a TikTok video touching 1.3 million fans. The viral video went on to amass over a million plays across TikTok, Instagram reels, and YouTube.
“Magic Sturdy” has become an Afro-drill fan sensation due to its infusion of Afrobeat samples under a New York drill beat. As a pioneer of afro drill Joe O, recently debuted a new track called Gongo Geeky that features the legendary Gongo aso sample by 9ice. This track has already broken the top 50 Africa Spotify playlist and it’s already a contender after Magic Sturdy.
