EDM Producer BlackLight Shines Bright on Illuminating New Single, “Bring Me That Feeling”

Carl Lee Davis Jr., better known professionally as BlackLight is a burgeoning EDM recording artist and producer out of Omaha, Nebraska, who is bringing a distinct approach to his artistry and is primed to become a bona fide game changer on the music landscape for years to come. Blacklight’s eclectic EDM stylings which brilliantly encompass the gamut of electronica sub-genres such as drum and bass, house, techno, trance and dubstep, seek to create a musical atmosphere sparked by peace, love, unity and respect.
Catch a listen to any BlackLight composition and you’ll surely get a sense of any of those four components as his tracks glisten with a rhythmic backbone that’s beaming and prone to light up any setting they’re played in. Following up on a prolific 2022 thus far which has seen the talented creative release six singles already, including such jamming smashes as “You Got Me Going” and “I Like It”, BlackLight is slated to drop another electro laden bonanza titled “Bring Me That Feeling”, set for release next week, April 8, via his own label Plurred Vision Records.
“Bring Me That Feeling” can best be summed up as unbridled energy and grooves from beginning to end…it never lets up from percolating your listening senses with its hodgepodge of infectious melodies and intriguing ethereal elements interspersed throughout the full-length track. The instrumentation is charged up by a dubstep inspired drum pattern which rapidly rolls across the soundscape and is draped by a bevy of rhythmic phrases and chord progressions; an upbeat aura and mystique is inevitable as you absorb each entrancing note of the bassline and jazzy piano riff. So, what sparked this creative masterstroke?!? Blacklight provides some insight into the song’s development….
The background story is, I came up with while creating in the studio with the intent of producing a feel good and good vibes a track that would bring me and others joy, good feels, feelings of peacefulness, and the like. I think a lot of people love and/or desire to return to something that brings them perfect feelings of serenity, happiness, love, and joy. I think I may have captured this with this one.
