Kanye West has announced that a 2nd Donda Listening Party will be taking place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Thursday, August 5 at 9 p.m.
Tickets will reportedly go on sale Monday, August 2, according to Kanye’s label Def Jam Recordings.
The event should be another boom as the first star-studded listening party on July 23 drew more than 3 million viewers.
That reportedly broke a livestream global record on Apple Music.
Kanye shared a new date for his next pre-release event to his Instagram account on Saturday.
Over 2 million fans have liked the simple, caption-free post so far with numerous comments posted in anticipation of the album release.
“Donda” will be Kanye’s 10th studio album release and will officially drop August 6, a day after the 2nd Atlanta listening party.
The album is ceremoniously named after Kanye’s late mother, Donda West, who passed away in 2007 at age 58 due to complications with plastic surgery.
Hopefully this isn’t another false alarm for Kanye West fans and enthusiasts.
It was originally expected that the album would be released July 23, 2021, following West’s first listening party at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
However, the release date was delayed to August so Kanye could put on some finishing touches to the highly anticipated album.
Media personality Justin Laboy tweeted on Kanye’s behalf, “Thanks for your patience, he wants to give his fans the best possible product without rushing anything. He loves yall with all of his heart.”
