Kanda Yuhka (神田優花) – Summer Gate

Kanda Yuhka is a dynamic Japanese singer and recording artist who has crafted an incredible career in music spanning over two decades, dating back to her emergence on the scene in 2002.

In that time span she has released countless singles and has recorded 16 albums which comprise her expansive discography. Today, we’re highlighting a track off of her 2020 album project Flairs which is titled “Summer Gate”.

“Summer Gate” is an eclectic song and composition which possesses a soundscape that incorporates the core tenets of J-Pop meshed with elements of EDM and electro pop. The instrumentation features a catchy and buoyant bassline that creates a palpable vibrancy over the track.

Yuhka’s vocals resonate with a magnetic tenderness over the bright music which adds a cherubic, fun-loving dimension to the song. Her soft tones and soothing delivery accentuate the all-around good vibes that “Summer Gate” puts forth.

FORSTER & HOPES – Twenty Million Loves feat HannaH

Forster & Hopes is a Switzerland based producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who has manifested his exposure to various aspects of music since his adolescence into a burgeoning career as a recording artist.

Today we’re highlighting the 2021 official debut single of the music virtuoso titled ‘Twenty Million Loves” featuring the silky, lush vocals of singer HannaH. The track features a chill instrumentation in which the electronic elements presented create a palatial, atmospheric mystique.

I also hear remnants of nostalgia as well as there is a noticeable undertone of the classic 80’s synth laden hooks in addition to a well-executed syncopated synth riff that serves as an intriguing transition in the composition.

As referenced above HannaH delivers a charming vocal performance which complements the cool, melodious sonics laid out by Forster & Hopes tenfold.

WILLDABEAST – Time Theft

Boundless energy! Equivalent to a kinetic force field of musicality, “Time Theft” by producer duo Willdabeast is a spectacular dubstep/future bass track characterized by a distinct incorporation of live wind instruments and samples.

The duo’s innovative sound blurs the perceived lines between genres and has garnered them the well deserved moniker as one of the “Top 10 Horn-Based EDM acts”.

“Time Theft” is an amazing music journey which takes you to a variety of places sonically. One moment, the raw and gritty electronic elements reverberate across the soundscape with an in-your-face boldness and then suddenly, you’re greeted with a jazzy, funk-infused horn rhythm section that percolates your listening senses.

Take a listen to “Time Theft” for yourself below and immerse yourself in the one-of-a-kind sound that Willdabeast brings to the table with each and every recording that they disseminate to music lovers.

ZULHOU – No Apologies

Oliver and Michael make up the Germany-based recording duo Zulhou. The multi-hyphenate talents are songwriters, singers, producers and studio engineers and their latest track “No Apologies’ continues down the path of a remarkable consistency and high standard of excellence that they’ve encapsulated on their other seven singles that have released this year.

“No Apologies” distinguishes itself from a production standpoint as it is a masterful fusion of a variety of EDM subgenres including deep house, future house, tech house and some undertones of melodic techno.

The track has an other worldly, futuristic mystique that is accentuated by the ethereal sonics; kudos on the sound design which seems to utilize a tasteful level of hall reverb on the instrumental and accompanying vocals overall.

As the melodically entrancing vocals ride the wave of the instrumentation, it is easy to get wrapped up in the “No Apologies” as you don’t even realize you’ve listened to a four-minute plus track. It flows seamlessly with a captivating arrangement that’s guaranteed to peak listeners’ full fledged interests.
