WPVR NY Rolls Out the Virtual Red Carpet for a Special King & Prince Broadcast, April 13

WPVR New York Platinum Vibes Radio will broadcast a special one hour program to pay tribute to the spectacular music of the chart-topping Japanese idol group, King & Prince, as well as celebrating their fans who tune into the WPVR platform daily.
The special show has been fittingly titled “Tiara All Over the World” because “Tiara” is the name of the dedicated fandom of King & Prince and of course, the word “tiara” represents royalty in itself, which is one of the themes of this program.
The broadcast will be hosted by WPVR Production Director Kevin James and is set to air this Thursday, April 13 at 8:00 am New York/EST 🗽 (21:00 JST 🇯🇵) and a replay broadcast will air later that evening at 19:00 New York/EST 🗽 (Friday, April 14, 8:00 JST 🇯🇵)

About King & Prince
King & Prince is currently comprised of five members (Sho Hirano, Ren Nagase, Kaito Takahashi, Yuta Kishi, Yuta Jinguji) and they made their debut in 2018 as a six-member outfit with the song “Cinderella Girl” which was released May 23, 2018 (Original member Genki Iwahashi withdrew from King & Prince in March of 2021). The widespread popularity of “Cinderella Girl” propelled King & Prince to embark on their first tour that same year, a nationwide arena tour titled King & Prince First Concert Tour 2018.
Since their debut in 2018, King & Prince has released four extremely successful studio albums via the Johnny’s Universe label which is under the Universal Music umbrella. The commercial success of the album releases have been validated by the music industry in that they have all been certified at least 2x Platinum by the RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan).
The studio albums, in addition to the expansive catalog of single releases, have all claimed the number one spot at one time or another on the Japan Oricon Singles/Album Charts as well as the Billboard Japan Hot 100. King & Prince have also been winners of the prestigious Japan Gold Disc Award on multiple occasions over the years, including a nomination at the renowned Television Drama Academy Awards for Best Theme Song with “Cinderella Girl” which was the theme of the television series Boys Over Flowers Season 2 which starred member Sho Hirano.

King & Prince earned two WPVR 2022 Year-End Pinnacle Awards this January for Most Requested Song with “Ichiban” and World Song of the Year with “Made In”.
Their recent single release “Life Goes On”/”We Are Young” has already sold over 1 million copies and is rapidly gaining traction to topple their 2022 release, “Tsukiyomi”/”Irodori” as the group’s best selling single.

Three members, Sho Hirano, Yuta Kishi and Yuta Jinguji are going to withdraw King & Prince on May 22, 2023 that is the last day of 5th years of King & Prince. Before the day comes, we as Tiara will do whatever we can do for them to tell them our feeling of love.
