Takeoff, one-third of trendsetting Atlanta rap group Migos, was shot and killed in Houston, Texas earlier this morning according to a TMZ report, as well as numerous unofficial reports issued by Houston area media outlets and several digital platforms across the internet.

The 28-year-old rapper, was born Kirshnik Khari Ballone in Lawrenceville, GA and he was pronounced dead at the scene, a bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, where the shooting occurred. Takeoff was at this location alongside fellow Migos member and his uncle, Quavo for a Halloween gathering.

Police believe that the rappers were involved in a dice game with a group of other people when an altercation ensued and tragically, one of the participants opened fire which fatally wounded Takeoff in the head or neck area. Quavo was not injured in the incident.

Two other individuals were wounded and taken to a local hospital privately, independent of emergency medical services. Their respective conditions have not been disclosed at the moment.
