WPVR New York, Platinum Vibes Radio has announced via its social media platforms that it will broadcast a special one-hour program on September 15 to celebrate the anniversary of the formation of ARASHI 嵐, titans and trailblazers of the J-Pop genre in Japan and abroad for over two decades.
ARASHI was formed on September 15, 1999 in a boat in the waters of Hawaii. Now in 2022, a storm is coming to WPVR to commemorate the event!!! (ARASHI 嵐 is the Japanese word for “storm”)

The program will feature one hour of ARASHI’s timeless music in tribute to the incredible legacy of music that they have given their legions of unwavering fans who are endearingly referred to as Arashian (fans in Japan) and Arashic (fans outside of Japan).
The program will broadcast to Platinum Vibes Radio’s international audience Thursday, September 15 at 5:00am New York Time and a replay broadcast will occur later that evening at 7:00pm New York Time. The dual scheduling is meant to capture ARASHI fans across the world no matter what time zone or country they reside in.
