Felix Öberg, better known professionally as District. is a electronic music producer, recording artist and digital creator based in Sweden. The emerging artist has peppered his growing catalog with such standout tracks as “Forever” and “Feels Like You” which are an eclectic blend of sound which feature the many sub-genres of electronic music.
Continuing further with his advancements in music production and experimentation, District. has released a new single titled “All I Want”, a chill mode instrumental track that dabbles in the future garage and electronica space.
District. shares how “All I Want” came together and further details the process of making it as he explains, “This is the first time I settled for one specific genre when it comes to producing, and I really fell in love with chill electronica, future garage.
I’ve got more songs coming up and looking forward to see if they give any result. Before, I didn’t really know what I was doing. Now I have some structure and a style that I enjoy making. This track is a starting point to all of it. Kind of like an introduction to “District” as an artist“.
Kudos to District. as he has stepped out with an outstanding song and composition in “All I Want”. It has a unique disposition of a song that you can chill out to or one that you can bust a move to. I envision myself in a swank New York City lounge knocking back champagne listening to this. Just one of the many scenarios pictured in my mind when I hear the track.
Overall, it contains an ethereal mystique which is complemented with a hip, swinging percussion. The midtempo drum pattern is layered with a host of ambient melodies composed of both electronic and acoustic elements…wistful piano phrases and soul-stirring chord progressions make up the core of this intriguing track.
The incorporation of a collection of ghostly voices in the distance also add to the mysterious aura of the song. The appeal of all these factors is enhanced by a keen sound design and post-production skills which amplify the first-rate rating on this track.
