TOROislame as a young, emerging rapper hailing from the Motor City of Detroit, Michigan. The talented recording artist goes about his artistry with a unique vision, so much that he carries it as part of his name. TORO holds steadfast to his mantra of “LAME” which means “Live a Meaningful Existence”.
Young TORO manifests this philosophy in life as well as his music and recordings which are influenced by new generation rappers such as Lil Uzi Vert and Trippie Redd, but TORO also masterfully infuses elements of the traditional Mexican music that he was raised on.
Setting out to establish his distinct brand of hip-hop, we’re spotlighting TORO’s latest track titled “Euphoria”, a certified banger that is a marriage made in heaven of trap hip-hop, cloud rap and a Latin-influenced jazz type of melody.
TORO explains the concept behind “Euphoria” as he shares, it “is a relatable track about the highs of toxic love, contrasted with the lows of toxic substance abuse. The lows are inferred in the instrumentals and throughout the song“.
“Euphoria” is catapulted by a thumping kick drum and crisp snare that create a prominent, pounding percussion section. It’s smoothed out with a catchy piano riff throughout which captures the Latin jazz elements mentioned above and TORO delivers a melodious vocal performance which truly magnifies the appeal of the beat.
His hybrid rap/singing style delivery adds a dynamic component to the track that sets it apart from your standard rap release. TORO’s vocal tone is buttery smooth, yet exudes a confidence and assured demeanor that draws a listener into the track effortlessly. He harnesses the concept of the song to a tee and conveys the lyrical content vividly.
