Larryne Melh’s extensive music journey dates back to her early childhood, and the UK-based Cameroonian born Finnish singer and songwriter has cultivated a dynamic artistry that has flourished within the Afro-fusion spectrum.

Larryne’s distinct blend of pop, Afropop and afrobeat elements distinguishes her from her contemporaries as well as her diverse palette of being able to sing in English, French and Pidgin. It’s no surprise that Larryne’s talents have garnered attention and recognition within music industry circles. Of note, she earned an award for “Best Afropop Artist” at the 2018 Cameroonian Diaspora Music Awards in the U.K., amongst other accomplishments and acclaim she has received over the course of her music career.

More About Larryne Melh

Larryne Melh is a UK-based Cameroonian-born Finnish Afro-Fusion singer and song writer. She sings in English, French and pidgin language.

At 9 years old, she was a member of the “youth choir” in the church she attended. At 10 years old, Larryne was part of the high school band “Young Grown Stars” consisting of three females. Larryne moved to Finland in 2008 . She released her debut single “Just Kossa” (Just Dance) and “Sugar Coated Love” in 2014. Her recent singles include “Reloved” (2020), “Still Love You” (2020), “Fais Moi Bisou (Kiss Me)” (2021) and “Gimme A Chance” (2022).

Her achievements include winning the “Best New Afrobeat Artist” title at the Afrobeat Cult Award in Finland in 2014 , winning the “Best Afropop Artist” at the Cameroonian Diaspora Music Awards in the UK in 2018 & her song “Still Love You” broadcasted by BBC introducing.

Melh moved to the UK in 2017 after having an Msc. in Mechanical Engineering with distinction. She currently works full time as a design engineer while still pursuing her dream in music. She hopes that her journey and music will inspire people around the globe.
