StreamLINE Music Review- K-Pop Group aespa 에스파 Release First All-English Track, “Life’s Too Short”
The sassy lyrics, soft vocals, striking visuals, and profound meaning — aespa 에스파 never fails to amaze us! Life’s Too Short is aespa’s first and unforgettable all-English single, with a unique style and vibrant colors. It is the second song from their mini collection “Girls,” and they performed it for the first time at Coachella in April.
This relaxed pop song features their lively energy and positive aspiration to appreciate life without regrets. The song opens with a buoyant electric guitar lead before the tune changes into a delicate bop, bound with an infectious chorus, confident vocals, and danceable tune.
It reminds me of mid-2000s adolescent films in a good way as it shows a more high-teen concept. The lustrous video catches their style, character, and smooth choreography nicely. Honestly, I cannot quit replaying this very appealing, catchy song!
Here are the reasons why:
Sassy Lyrics
I love how this is the gentlest sounding song they did, yet the verses are the most savage dish of critics I’ve found in k-pop….
“I’m doing me regardless and I don’t care what you say about it / and it don’t matter if you like it or not”.
The lyrics tells us to be consistent with oneself, specialty, and art. I felt particularly empowered while listening to it. As the title proposes, this tomfoolery pop song is about not thinking about others’ views and carrying on with your own best life.
You need to get a life.

I didn’t anticipate being attacked by my favorites, but OK.
You should find some better seeds to sow.
This one is my personal favorite! The sass in the song is unmatched!
Cute Concept
The girls showed an all the more high-youngster idea, which is an alternate abandonment of their hazier, smoother concepts. The young ladies go on fans on a fond memory outing, serving the energetic, unconventional 2000s style they’ve all developed to cherish. With shades of pink and purple, the setting mirrored a stylish room, while the individuals wore up-to-date dresses and two-piece sets. The idea is mirrored in a delicate, yet happy environment with pink lighting, while Aespa displayed their precious friendship in different postures of embracing and lying together.
Smooth Vocals
Obviously, we can’t disregard their lovely vocals! The young ladies sound perfect; their vocals are smooth and vaporous. I’m constantly shocked by Winter’s and NingNing’s vocal tones and how they can convey a melody. The harmonies in Life’s Too Short are perfect, and generally it takes care of business!
Aesthetically Pleasing Music Videos
The music video is a visual pleasure! The brilliant tones, the movements, the visuals, the inflatables and confetti—every little thing about it was remarkable! The video portrays what our idols’ day would resemble doing karaoke, having a photo-shoot, and essentially spending time with mates.
Final Verdict
Life’s Too Short was tastefully satisfying with bright tones, great vocals, and meaningful lyrics. Aespa’s visuals here are a big deal as well! The song teaches us to take a charge of our life without qualms. This song was a real treat to the haters!
