R&B group Three is redefining the genre song by song as the trio of singer-songwriters have come together to form a distinct brand of R&B that harnesses the contemporary sound of today and embellishes the vintage “feel-good” vibes and soul infused music of the past.
Fittingly named Three, the group is comprised of three talented creatives who grew up in the Arkansas area, Corbin (Michael Corbin), T3 (Trey Thrower) and Mr. Wes (Wesley Weston). They share an immense music background amongst the three of them which includes performances and collaborations with notable recording artists over the years. Corbin, T3 and Mr. Wes also claim a wide array of music influences which consists of iconic R&B acts across a variety of eras. That definitely gives some insight into the unique sound they have cultivated since their formation.
First emerging on the scene as a unit in 2021 with their well-received EP release Etc…, Three is set to continue breaking new ground in the R&B spectrum with one of their latest singles titled “Living High”. The title “Living High” applies to all aspects of this vibrant song and composition with its luminous sonics, vocals and high-spirited lyrical content.
“Living High” is a track brimming over with positivity and an overall celebratory type of aura as it touches on the guys going out for a good time amongst friends…no drama or bad intentions, just a group of friends gathering and genuinely enjoying each others’ company…..”living high off the vibes” as they refrain jubilantly in the hook! It’s an uplifting concept and the buoyant, expressive vocal performance matches the theme of the song extremely well.
Three displays their vocal dexterity with a wondrous blend of mellifluous vocals and background harmonies. The tones and inflections in their voices suit up well to a soundscape that distinguishes itself with its eclecticism. I hear a fusion of several styles and genres in the instrumentation. In particular, the main melody consists of a rhythmic, tropical/pop sound while a funky bass line drives the soulful backbone of the song. “Living High” exudes an energy that’s prone to lift moods and serves as a reminder to appreciate and treasure the various relationships we have in our lives whether friends, family or romantic partners.

Urban music has evolved over the past few decades and has seen many of its facets
change. THREE is a new wave singing group that epitomizes the essence of the
modern era and embodies the core attributes of diversity among its members. THREE
is making music that is thoughtful, conscious, and driven by a desire to motivate,
inspire, comfort, and bring their own unique story to the table.
THREE is comprised of 3 amazing musicians namely Michael Corbin aka Corbin, Trey
Thrower aka T3, and Wesley Weston aka Mr. Wes. Little did they know that this
fortuitous crossing of paths was the genesis of a great musical journey. Together they
have developed a style of songwriting that is transparent, daring, and reflective of the
experiences of the Group.
Corbin was born in Enid, OK and grew up in Fort Smith, AR, and has previous projects
with the group 3Alphas such as Dysfunction and Christmas Tyme as well as a notable
performance as the opening act for the O’Jays. T3 is a native of Little Rock, AR and he
was Area Manager for Stellantis Automotive Corporation before music came and
knocked on his door. Mr. Wes was born in New Orleans, LA, and grew up in the South
mostly Arkansas, Memphis & ATL. He grew up in a musically inclined family and he has
been working in the music industry for over 20 years and sang background for legends
such as “Anita B, Toni B, and Trey Songz”. He also had a solo career with his
sophomore project going gold. Wes has transitioned into songwriting and producing for
several mainstream artists. was born in Enid, OK and grew up in Fort Smith, AR, and

As a group THREE has had a vast array of musical influences however they accredit
the pivotal influences and inspiration in their music to icons of R&B from across several
eras citing talents such as Brandy, Neo, Toni Braxton, Babyface, Tank & Jhene Aiko as
the pivotal influences in their music. This all culminates in THREE producing a musical
experience that is enjoyable, easy-going, and fun but still seeks to provoke thought and
THREE uses their music as a vehicle to express their perspectives and tell stories.
Their overarching ambition is to become a group that can blend their voices to enrich
spiritual bliss and still sing as creatively in the most expressive and contemporary way
that will touch lives and inspire future generations.
THREE released their last project dubbed “ETC” which showcased their lyricism in a
uniquely constructed piece of musical artistry in 2021. THREE explored the life-inspired
themes that are often found in Urban and R&B music showing off their versatility that
they can do more than just ballads and still maintain a high level of vocal performance.
“Good Lovin” emerged as the hit-single from this project. Having charted on both
Amazon and iTunes.
Three is back with a double single that is sure to set the industry alight. The voice
talents of Mike Corbin, Trey Thrower & Wesley Weston coalesce in advanced harmonies and showcase just how much the group has grown musically over the last couple of years.
