Always bringing a fresh and distinct flow to the table, Maryland recording artist Lah88 never ceases to amaze with the many facets of music and styles he meshes into his recordings. StreamLINE had the opportunity to hear a pre-release cut of Lah88’s new smash and it definitely ranks up there with some of his top releases, if not his best to date. He’s continually raising the bar of excellence and innovation when it comes to his artistry and “Brxken Fxrever” is no different.
It takes on the form of a classic hip-hop ballad as the bassline and drum patterns boom across the soundscape in a grandiose fashion while an assortment of rhythmic and soulful phrases, chord progressions and melodies supply the musicality in the backdrop…and there you have the perfect assortment of instrumentation for Lah88 to apply his trademark hip-hop melodic flow. “Brxken Fxrever” is an intensely introspective track about lost love and the conflicted emotions arising from it. Lah88 conveys the concept extremely well and the expressiveness, particularly in the hook will definitely rope in music listeners.
