1991 | Grunge music makes its first advances into the mainstream landscape as the Alice in Chains album Facelift peaked at #42 in the U.S. while the single off the album, “Man In The Box” soared to #18 on the Mainstream Rock chart. |
1985 | Phil Collins’ “Sussudio” hit #1 on the charts where it held the position for a week.. It holds the position for one week. |
1975 | Rapper, business man and entrepreneur 50 Cent was born Curtis Jackson III in Queens, New York. |
1974 | “Rock The Boat” by The Hues Corporation became the first disco song to top the Hot 100. |
