Independent singer-songwriter Josy B is an R&B recording artist who brings it to you live and direct with her musical creations. She has crafted a blossoming catalog of music that sets out to promote themes of empowerment for women across the globe that can be applied to all their life endeavors, as well as romance. It’s an avant-garde style that really centers on establishing a mindset of progress and value of self.
Josy explains what ignites her artistry and music focus, “All my songs are about the trials woman go through when in dating or in a relationship. I tell my stories through my songs in hopes to spread to the woman of the world they are not alone and can overcome and come out on top as a boss.“
Josy certainly hits the mark on shedding light on these subject matters with her new single “BTW”, a remarkable follow-up track to such bold and audacious singles from 2021, “XX Bad” and “Crybaby” which cover the themes we speak about above in a gripping manner. Josy brings a vocal presentation to the table that is a wondrous enigma as her harmonious tones and vocal dynamism are alluring like a songbird, however, the lyrical content is bold and pulls no punches with its messaging.
“BTW” is an illustrative reflection of the signature style that Josy B has developed. As some of you may have guessed, “BTW” does stand for the popularly used acronym for “by the way” and in the song Josy B asserts her strong mindedness, independent will and the fact that she is not the one to fall for empty, shallow lines.

Josy B graces the track in a witty, charismatic fashion that adds an additional level of appeal to the song. Her voice floats flawlessly over the instrumentation that features a funky groove that is dripping with attitude and rhythm. The accompanying bassline and phrasing are infectious as well, dazzling as they reverberate off your eardrums. “BTW” is shaped in the mold of a jammin’ song and composition by far.
