Stevski7 is a rock songwriter, recording artist and multi-instrumentalist out of Quebec, Canada who has crafted this spectacular persona and project out of a manifestation of a passion for music steeped deeply in his family roots of several musically gifted individuals. Stevski7 also draws creative inspiration from a wide range of influences such as rock music luminaries The Beatles, Buddy Guy, Pink Floyd and Nirvana.
Having worked in a number of professions over the course of his life, including IT and marketing, Stevski7 has embarked on a music journey as a solo artist that channels his extensive music background, fervor for the artistry and embracing the creative process as a whole.
It’s an extremely refreshing and authentic approach to music, remote of anything contrived and thus making it intrinsically appealing. This has all culminated into the creation of Stevski7’s song of our spotlight today, “Something Wrong You Said”, a quintessential rock track with a compelling aural energy and lush guitar section which features a piercing lead and enthralling solo parts throughout the song that illuminate the soundscape.
Stevski7 explains the concept behind the charged-up track, “I was in a sort of existential crisis kind of mood when this idea popped in. And when you’re in this kind of mindset, there’s never really anything people can say to make it feel better, more often than not, it makes it worse. I wanted a very simple chord progression to match the feeling of “being on the fence” about life’s problems”.

“Something Wrong You Said” brings a vibrant energy via its sonics, tone and overall production value…it possesses crisp instrumentation that springs across your listening senses and the musicality is further accentuated by an expressive vocal performance by Stevski7. He conveys the song’s concept exceptionally well in his vocal presentation and I find that his timbre lines up with the lyrical content and ultimate mood of the song in a magnificent fashion.

Backed by years as an IT Professional, an Agile Coach and B2B Marketer, promotion and business have been threads throughout, yet only in later life have these qualities transferred into learning the ropes within the music industry.
Inspired by artistic expression, Stevski7’s goal is simply to enjoy the creative process, whilst maintaining an unwavering work ethic that drives things in the direction of positive change. With that in mind, 2022 promises the release of one high-quality rock song per month, with the vision of a full-length album set for the year’s end.
Riding the wave as a solo act, writing lyrics, playing every instrument and performing, recording and mixing each track, Stevski7’s sound takes subtle influence from the likes of Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Nirvana.
Having played guitar for several decades, with rhythm as a main instrument and electric guitar, bass, ukulele, keys and drums all ready in the sidelines, performing voice has proven the most unfamiliar territory. To evolve away from comfort, however, is all part of the process. Thus, the Stevski7 project was born.
