Kali Indiana is a music dynamo out of Omaha, Nebraska who possesses a uniquely distinctive style that has propelled her burgeoning career as an outlaw country-rock recording artist. Kali has channeled her extensive music background as a classically trained choral vocalist and seasoned performer into establishing herself as a veritable force to reckon with in the landscape of the country music genre. Her vocal stylings are melodically cutting edge in that while her voice is harmoniously appealing, her delivery also projects a commanding presence that’s not brash but exudes a confidence; more so self-assuredness that makes her songs so alluring for the listener.
Kali has graced music listeners with another opportunity to enjoy the fruits of her musical talents with a new release titled “Probably Not”, a track which captures the core essence of her outlaw country-rock roots with its lush guitar laden instrumentation and pensive lyrical content. “Probably Not” is a wondrous songwriting display as you may not be able to guess what the concept is based on the song’s title, but once you’re engrossed into the track and absorb the lyrics, you’ll understand just how cleverly Kali ties the theme into the title.
“Probably Not” can be described as a motivational anthem for women in that it touches on how a woman should be able to enjoy her time out alone in any setting, and it’s not necessarily an invitation for a man to approach or a situation where she’s longing for company. Quite the contrary, even if by chance incidental glances are exchanged, she’s likely not even remotely entertaining the thought of a romantic hookup. However, from the man’s perspective, could she be looking, why not take a shot? But as Kali bluntly sings in the chorus, “Maybe you got this, maybe she likes you, but probably not.
Kali has penned a terrific song with “Probably Not”. Her vocal tone is engaging and tremendously expressive. Also, her inflections convey the emotions of the song vividly and is a testament to her adept attention to detail as a performer. You almost get the sense that’s she’s literally having a musical dialogue with someone as you listen and that feeling is compelled by the versatile manner in which she emotes each word.

Kali Indiana is an outlaw country-rock artist based out of Omaha, Nebraska. Her latest single, “Wild In Me” was recorded in Nashville with Jordan Lake at the Record Shop and is available on all streaming platforms. KI’s next single, “Probably Not” on 3/4/22. This song is a love letter to strong women, – a manifesto for the ladies who just want to be left alone to have a drink. “Probably Not” is new age 9-to-5, I’m just damn pissed off and ready for a change anthem.
If you combined the tone and timbre of Miranda Lambert with the power and growl of Janis Joplin, then set it to outlaw country music, you’d have a good idea of KI’s music. Her high-energy, rock-infused show is unique for female country artists and brings a fresh feminine perspective to a genre filled mostly by men.
Her background is as a classically trained choral vocalist, who then trained with one of the Midwest’s premier blues and operatic vocal teachers for many years. KI started writing her own music in high school, and the first song she wrote took her within only months to playing solo for tens of thousands of spectators at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, IN. Kali has been hooked ever since. Her personal brand is 70’s glam rock meets cowgirl fashion, and Kali loves to ride motorcycles/ATVs and travel. KI also has her law degree and has worked in business settings for the last 10 years. Kali worked full-time in sales while putting herself through law school, all while growing the Kali Indiana brand. She is professional, trustworthy, and an extremely hard worker.
