In another fresh pick from our new music vault, we have the pleasure of bringing you “Her” by Kotarah, an emerging alt-pop recording artist, singer-songwriter and producer based just outside of Victoria, BC, Canada.
“Her” is an intriguing electro pop track off Kotarah’s debut album Illuminate. It displays Kotarah’s distinct vocal delivery which projects a genuineness that makes a listener gravitate to the track. Her voice paints an extremely vivid picture of the song’s sensually charged theme which adds to its appeal.
Kotarah’s vocal performance has a commanding presence throughout the song as she seamlessly transitions between singing gracefully over the verses then shifts to a powerful bellow through the chorus section.
The instrumentation of “Her” has a mellow vibe yet the melody and chords present an almost mystical, out-of-this-world type of soundscape that is an exceptional complement to the dynamic vocals laid down by Kotarah.

More About Kotarah
Kotarah has been singing for as long as she can remember,starting out with hymns and Britney Spears songs, growing up to find a home and refuge in lyrics and melodies. She began writing her own songs at 10, honing in on her craft, and later deciding to pursue production to further her connection to music. Her greatest influences are alt-pop, R & B, and ballads lead by such artists as Banks, Billie Eilish, and Sigrid.
She really got into production in 2016 and has been working diligently to finish a full project ever since. Her debut work, Illuminate, came out on the 20th of September in 2021 and she can’t wait to take over the world with her anthems.
