Up and coming rapper Tre K is a new recording artist hailing out of Newark, New Jersey.
The talented creative has just released a new music video for the single “Good Timing” which is a track off his debut album slated for release in October.
Having been compared to the likes of Juice Wrld and Lil Peep, Tre K brings his own style that is distinctly unique and compelling in its own right and he displays every bit of that distinct flow on “Good Timing”.
What’s the Word on “Good Timing”?
“Good Timing” is a brilliant fusion of contemporary hip-hop and funk/soul elements giving the track its polished rap and R&B tone.
The vibrant production features a sample and interpolation from the Earth Wind & Fire classic interlude “Brazilian Rhyme” which Tre skillfully utilizes throughout the track to build his flow and rhythm around.
The airy vocals and chords of the Earth Wind & Fire interpolation provide the perfect backdrop to the pounding hip-hop percussion and soulful melodies.
Tre distinguishes himself on the track with a polarizing and versatile vocal performance. His vocals are bold and have a commanding presence yet he has the adeptness to weave in and out of straight rap flow to a more melodic approach to sit in line with the track’s funky and rhythmic instrumentation.
The accompanying music video to “Good Timing” is a dazzling visual as it enhances the “feel-good” nature and vibrant tone of the track.
It features a variety of visuals from the streets of downtown Newark and other locations where Tre can be seen having fun and happily enjoying life.
