Rappers Krip Tha Don and Gemini King are from Canada and Trinidad respectively, where they have each carved out a highly respected reputation.
The duo have paired up to form a supergroup that they call UnderGodz and the two are currently working on an EP release.
Krip and Gemini, both known for their rapid wordplay and clever, raunchy metaphors, have released a single with all that and then some titled “Future Legend”.
The two wordsmiths display their lyrical dexterity on the track as they rip off a flurry of interweaving bars over a menacing, boom bap instrumental.
They deliver each line with a direct intent and confidence that shines through as they flow seamlessly throughout.
“Future Legend” brings forth the best of both worlds as it stands up in the modern hip-hop space while also harkening back to a period in hip-hop when a song’s worth or a rapper’s talent was judged primarily on lyrical content.
Krip and Gemini are versatile and talented MC’s who are definitely on a path to becoming future legends if they keep dropping quality tracks like this.
