2007 : LIVE EARTH
A series of concerts aimed at drawing attention to the threat of global warming, took place around the world. The concert series featured over 150 acts which performed in over 130 countries via live streaming, TV, and radio.
1987 : ERIC B & RAKIM
Released their debut album, Paid In Full, a benchmark in hip-hop which featured such smash singles as I Ain’t No Joke, Move the Crowd and I Know You Got Soul.
1984 : PRINCE
“When Doves Cry” soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This gave Prince his first chart-topper on the Billboard 100 and the song was to be featured in his upcoming movie Purple Rain.
1969 : JOHN LENNON
Released “Give Peace A Chance” in the United States. This was a song he and Yoko Ono, along with a group of guests, famously recorded at their “bed-in” in a Montreal hotel room.
