I would say the key to longevity in anything, even in life, is to keep learning. To stay hungry and always want to improve yourself no matter how good you become. You can always be better.

Many artists think they’re so great and they let their ego take hold and start looking down on their audience. That’s when they start going down. Real performers always respect themselves and their audience, they love their craft and always seek to get better.
