Pepper Gomez of Wake Up! Music has dropped a new release titled “Oh My Heart”.
“Oh My Heart” is a melodious Nu House track driven by an infectious groove, Pepper’s graceful vocals and the lush baritone of Tacboy, who happens to be Pepper’s son.
It’s no surprise that this track is exceptional on all levels as its contributors have come from a powerhouse of music industry talent.
“Oh My Heart” has had an interesting journey as its origins go back to influential house DJ Ralphi Rosario of Hot Mix 5.
Rosario penned the remix of the original track by Andrew Kitchen which Pepper Gomez’s vocals grace.
Pepper enjoyed the remix so much she asked Tacboy to jump on the track and channel some Nu House vibes for the track.
Take a listen and you’ll hear he definitely went above and beyond with delivering that.
He brought the tune to a new level with his signature vocals, inspired by his artist heart and Jim Morrison.

“I didn’t know what it would be like to produce the vocals by my own son on ‘Oh My Heart’ but it was a peak experience for me,” says Pepper Gomez. “His path is clear. He sings and creates both melodies and lyrics as effortlessly as Morrison. I thought this a great way to introduce him to the listeners before he launches his own project, the ET Boys, with his brother Sharkeyes. With this release, I have accomplished what few mothers have done – that is to sing on tracks with both of my sons.”

Now with Pepper and Tacboy’s vocals laid down on the track, Ralphi Rosario would then go on to link up with Craig J Snider aka The Shamanic and they produced additional mixes.
Joseph Salamida of Vanquish Studios completed the package which was then aptly rounded out by mastering from Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound.
The illustrious travels of the track does not end there, however, as renowned DJ Eric Kupper wanted to throw his own flavor onto the boommode track and who better?, as Kupper has 30+ Billboard dance chart #1 hits under his belt.
He has worked with a multitude of artists including singles work with Jennifer Lopez and has also remixed classics ‘September’ by Earth Wind & Fire, Gloria Gaynor’s club smash ‘I Will Survive’, ‘Ain’t No Stopping Us Now’ by McFadden & Whitehead, and ‘Love Hangover’ by Diana Ross.
What a tremendous journey “Oh My Heart” has been on as its many components and contributions have formed into an outstanding record.
