The GRAMMY Awards Have Been Postponed to March Due to COVID-19
63rd Annual Grammy Awards Postponed
The organizers of the Grammy Awards have announced that the 2021 ceremony set for January 31, has been postponed due to safety concerns related to the coronavirus.
For now, the Grammy ceremony has been pushed back to March 14 and is still slated to he held in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.
The postponement due to safety concerns are likely driven by the statistics that show Los Angeles County is the epicenter of the coronavirus crisis in California.
Los Angeles County has accounted for 40% of the coronavirus related deaths in California.
County health officials have heightened levels of concerns from the recent incoming Christmas and New Year’s surge.
The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by “The Daily Show” host and comedian Trevor Noah.
Performers will be announced at a later date.
