The Aaliyah Estate announced in a Twitter post today that the late singer’s catalog of music is finally headed to streaming services “in the near future!”
The announcement which came fittingly today on the 19th anniversary of her passing, is music to the ears of music consumers and Aaliyah fans worldwide.
Almost two decades have passed since Aaliyah’s tragic passing in a 2001 plane crash.
Fans of Aaliyah’s music catalog have had to search high and low in various places to find her music.
With the exception of her 1994 debut ‘Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number‘, Aaliyah’s music is missing from the major digital streaming platforms.
YouTube has been a useful resource for fans to view Aaliyah video content, however, it is nearly nonexistent on music platforms like Spotify, Apple Music etc.
However, as the fans have clamored over the years, that may all be a distant memory as the Aaliyah Estate took to Twitter to update fans.that’s all about to change as the Estate took to Twitter to update eager fans with The “official message from the Estate of Aaliyah Haughton.” read, :
“To our loyal fans: We are excited to announce that communication has commenced between the estate and various record labels about the status of Aaliyah’s music catalogue, as well as its availability on streaming platforms in the near future.
