Over 1.5 Million Pre-Orders and Counting: aespa’s 에스파 ‘My World’ EP Set to Take the K-Pop World by Storm

South Korean girl group aespa 에스파 is poised to drop their highly anticipated new EP My World on June 8.
In a tweet posted by aespa’s agency, SM Entertainment (tweet posted below), the company confirmed the May 8 release date of aespa’s third EP effort and that it will be available at 6PM KST.
SM also enclosed a track video for one of the new EP’s six songs, “Thirsty” in the Twitter post. Earlier this week, track videos for “I’m Unhappy” and “Salty & Sweet” were also revealed for public consumption.
The clamor for the new EP’s release was also recently heightened even further as aespa revealed a pre-release single “Welcome to My World” this Tuesday, May 2.
According to various media outlets, the My World EP project has already amassed a staggering 1.5 million copies in pre-order sales and that number continues to climb daily as the official release date approaches.
aespa collaborated with a stellar group of producers on this EP including such primetime music industry figures such as Cutfather, Mich Hansen, Anne Judith Wik and Andreas Öberg to name a few.
