Clint Maedgen has traveled an extraordinary path over the course of his music journey, which has spanned over 25 illustrious years. The New Orleans-based singer, songwriter, performer, and multi-instrumentalist has shaped a fascinating career. It has seen him dabble within a wide diversity of musical styles and concepts while also fervently pursuing his other artistic endeavors – including photography, filmmaking, and textile.
On the music landscape, Clint has served as the frontman for a rock band named Liquidrone (1992-2004), and he also spearheaded a band called The New Orleans Bingo! Show (2001-2012), which was an innovative spinout of his punk-cabaret act. The one-of-kind outfit meshed music with an enigmatic blend of dramatic elements, which included comedic skits, short films, interactive game shows, and buoyant tunes.
Clint’s unique music background has also served him extremely well with the solo material he has launched since his time spent within those groups. His works as a solo recording artist are an eclectic bonanza of the various sub-genres of pop, rock, and experimental. His most recent single, “Sandra Already Knows,” captures a core pop/rock sound that is catapulted by a vivid lead guitar section, blistering solo piece, and plush, emotive vocals.
A release from earlier this year, “Hanging on for My Baby’s Arms,” displays Clint’s musical adaptiveness. The warm-toned ballad and composition is stripped down to the bare essence of a rapid strumming acoustic guitar and Clint’s superb vocal performance, magnetically passionate and demonstrative. Clint’s catalog also boasts a phenomenal three-part experimental album project titled Cmradiotv. The three albums cover 31 songs and represent Clint’s excursion into a world of idiosyncratic soundscapes and concepts brilliantly molded into cohesive projects.

With 24 personalized songs Clint made for his subscribers who bought his photo series of French Quarter doorbell pillows, he was able to raise enough funds to shift beyond bedroom beats and record fan-inspired tunes in a studio, and Sandra Already Knows is the first of many to come.
This year, Maedgen led a solo show in Asbury Park, giving a harmonic, dreamlike backdrop to his fine art photography exhibition. The show was well-received by the public and critics alike, with many praising the artist’s unique approach to combining music and photography. Maedgen’s work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, and he is considered one of the most innovative and creative artists of his generation.
Clint Maedgen connects with his audience by putting his heart into his songs while investing real-life stories into his lyrics.
