Vermont singer-songwriter Sole Oceanna is rapidly establishing herself as one of the more notable young pop recording artists exploding onto the scene in the music industry. The 15-year-old prodigy has always had a penchant for music as she started singing at 2, advanced to writing at 5, and glowingly hit the stage as a performer at the ripe age of 8.

Sole dropped her well-acclaimed debut and follow-up singles last year, Destiny and The Truth, respectively. And she continues her rapid ascension on the music landscape as she has collaborated with a couple of music industry stalwarts; renowned producer Sean Rogers (Shania Twain, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley) and famed BTS songwriter Rufio Hooks, on a rollicking new single ‘Not Feelin’ It.” The track has already garnered significant pre-release clamor on radio platforms across the country, charting on various prominent indie and pop airplay charts before it hit streaming platforms in June.

In “Not Feelin’ It.,” Sole tackles the topic of understanding your own personal boundaries and preferences and not being shy about communicating that to others. This is something even many adults struggle with, but particularly it causes a tremendous amount of internal conflict in teens. Sole attacks the track with a commanding presence as she matter-of-factly declares…. ‘I’m not trying to burst your bubble, but your vibe, I’m just not feeling it!”

Bringing some more context into what sparks her artistry and how a track like “Not Feelin’ It.” came to fruition, Sole shares, “I am here to help through my music to encourage and empower people to fully be themselves, to be in the moment of what they are feeling, to be in their power, and to operate on a high level of awareness for what is right in the world and what is wrong. Time is now to be a force, show up, and be present in this world.

The pop, alt-rock/punk instrumentation on “Not Feelin’ It.” lays the hard-edged foundation for Sole’s carefree and boisterous vocal delivery. It’s magnetically appealing with its unabashed self-assuredness and authenticity. Just by nature, music listeners gravitate to a performer who exudes confidence, and Sole presents that temperament with aplomb in “Not Feelin’ It.” Her style is all-encompassing and dynamic, like a combination of Pink, Lady Gaga, and Ariana Grande all mashed up into one artist.

A raucous electric guitar section and rhythmically protruding bassline personify the rebellious attitude that comes across in the track.
