Six boommode tracks banging your listening senses with an indelible thump! That’s the makeup of the new EP project “Different Zone” by Quantez, an immensely talented Burundian-born Australian rapper, singer/songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur as well as an emerging fashion designer. Channeling a diverse and dynamic skillset of talents, Quantez brings an invigorating energy to the rap game that he manifests to extensive heights with the “Different Zone” EP project.
The EP is released via Tezer Records, a burgeoning music entertainment collective and independent record label founded by Quantez. Right from the jump when you hear the first track fittingly titled “Activate”, you know you’re in for a boommode listening experience as the track activates a barrage of electrifying vibes that the EP pushes forth for the entirety of it’s almost 20-minute length. Quantez’s melodic style rap flow meshes extremely well with the top-notch production on this record.
It hits you with its core hip-hop elements that boast a magnetic collection of booming bass lines and kinetic trap drum patterns, but the appeal behind the soundscape of this project is amplified by the musicality; driven by melodious phrases, chord progressions and intricate riffs, particularly on “Regular” which inject tones of R&B and pop into the overall sound. The fusion creates a unique sound field that will definitely rope you in.
As mentioned above, Quantez carries the project with six standout vocal performances, bringing a consistent energy to each song, delivering bars with intent, charisma and a keen understanding of showmanship. Having hot bars lyrically is just one half of the equation when it comes to distinguishing yourself as a rapper as it’s crucial to be able to convey those bars as well vocally and with a presence. Quantez carries this off without a hitch as he scorches the mic.
