The aural energy is boundless when it comes to the trailblazing sound of Sepsiss, a 6-member cutting edge hard rock/metal band based out of New Hampshire. Sepsiss has carved an enduring niche amongst music listeners and industry pros alike via their kinetic recordings and high-spirited live performances, which have garnered the band two New England Music Awards for Best Hard Rock/Metal Act in 2019 and 2021.

Sepsiss was founded in 2010 by lead singer Melissa Wolfe and fellow co-vocalist and guitar player William Savant. The groundbreaking band is rounded out by guitarist Cam Loud, Mr. Goodbarz on the keyboards, Johnny Impact on bass and Joe Mercy is the stickman that mans the drums. Sepsiss has distinguished themselves from others in the genre as they have developed a distinct sound that encompasses the foundational rock and heavy metal elements while also incorporating a supple blend of contemporary rhythm and industrial and punk stylings that sum up a sound that is unparalleled.

Sepsiss continues to promulgate their one-of-a-kind rock/metal style with the release of a new single and accompanying music video, “Yesterday Isn’t Me,” an absolutely galvanizing track that boasts an assemblage of thrashing guitars that reverberate across the soundscape as Melissa’s gritty vocals coral the raw instrumentation with a commanding bellow; her vocal presentation sits majestically over the frenetic drums and piercing rhythms.

William injects an additional dose of unbridled energy with his background vocals on the lead verse while also stepping to the forefront with a brief scream-laden interlude that ramps up the intensity of the track tenfold. “Yesterday Isn’t Me” hits with a potency that doesn’t let up; even as the bridge transitions into a mellow breakdown, the hard edge comes right back in with a vengeance, further stimulating your listening senses.

“Yesterday Isn’t Me,” however, brings more to the table than its audacious sonics and tone. The lyrical content promotes an emboldening message that I take to represent living in the moment, taking the bull by the horns, and making things happen now. Essentially not being a prisoner of the past and keeping a forward-thinking mentality despite some of your own inhibitions and doubts.

“Yesterday Isn’t Me” is available on all streaming platforms (Spotify link below). Stream it and save it to your Favorites Library! Also, check out the accompanying music video (YouTube link below) which is an exhilarating spectacle of bright imagery, pyrotechnics and hard-hitting vibes as the band performs the song with a fervor.
