A man and his guitar…. these five words sum up Pennsylvania-based recording artist Pete Miller in a nutshell. The rock/country singer, songwriter and musician goes about his artistry in a natural, unembellished fashion. Pete brings a bare bones, authentically raw approach to his creativity and it is manifested exceptionally well in his music, boldly laid out in the unyielding lyrics and hard edged strums of his acoustic guitar.
Pete now has the opportunity to display his no-frills recording style for the world to experience as he is set to release his debut single, “A Light Out There” on April 1 via MTS Records. “A Light Out There” is a gritty acoustic rock, alt-country song and composition that also incorporates elements of outlaw country stylings that conjure up memories of the iconic Johnny Cash, however, make no mistake, Pete brings a distinct energy, tone and timbre to the song that is uniquely appealing. The song captures the essence of Pete’s unfiltered lyricism as he sings words straight from the heart and mind. It is extremely impressive how he seamlessly shifts his delivery and inflections throughout the song depending on the context of the lyrics. The unpolished nature of the song is what I believe will resonate with avid fans in the rock/country space as it is a refreshing throwback to a sound that’s not glossed over and essentially no frills. It’s carried by Pete’s intrinsic charisma and his skillful chops on the guitar.

More About Pete Miller
Pete Miller grew up in Connecticut, about 45 minutes from New York City. But the big city didn’t have a lure for Pete. Instead, he worked landscaping and went to school part-time. Soon after, he moved to a Vermont Farm for six months, working and laboring, until he finally made it to Pennsylvania, where he currently resides. While following his music dream, Pete works at the blue collar jobs he sings about in his “everyman songs,” working in warehouses, lumber yards, and construction, while studying mechanics part-time. He says, “I am 29 years of age, but my knees feel much older.”
Pete’s brand of music is raw, unpolished and unfiltered. Channeling the spirits of the late Johnny Cash and Townsend Van Zandt, Miller delivers his homespun poetic lyrics over his jangling acoustic guitar picking, painting a vivid portrait of simpler times, imperfect productions, and true rock ‘n’ roll energy. There’s nothing fancy about Pete Miller’s style, but he’s as authentic as they come…what you see is truly what you get.
