Soulful songstress Jarea Wilson has taken an extraordinary path on her music journey which developed early on in her formative years, later leading to working in the capacity of an office administrator at a radio station and culminating into an emerging career as a recording artist. The dynamic singer and songwriter has manifested her talents into a beaming debut single titled “Love Needs an Answer”.
“Love Needs an Answer” is an R&B, pop infused track that has a brilliant undertone of the classic 90’s R&B sound meshed with the glossy sonics of today’s hits in the genre. Produced by Grammy-nominated record producer Dave ”Jam” Hall (Mary J. Blige, Madonna, Usher), the rhythmic groove and piercing clap layered snare lay the foundation of the instrumentation, which also features a melodically ominous chord progression, brooding in a sense…and it is actually a very fitting tone given that the song was sparked by Jarea’s own personal experiences and tribulations going through romantic heartbreak.
She delivers a magnificent vocal performance that conveys the song’s concept exceedingly well and the inflection in her voice gives the listener a deep glimpse into the genuine emotions that drive the expressive lyrical content. Jarea’s tone has a graceful presence that is evident as she soulfully croons each lyric.

Hailing from the Heart of Dixie, singer/songwriter Jarea Wilson wears raw emotions under her sleeve with the debut offering, ‘Love Needs An Answer.’ Produced by Grammy-nominated record producer Dave ”Jam” Hall (Mary J. Blige, Madonna, Usher), the four-minute production boasts rhythmic melodies and soulful vocals. With a dynamic mix of R&B and pop, ‘Love Needs An Answer’ was inspired by Jarea’s own chronicles and heartbreak, which will captivate listeners and transport them into her own experiences.
Jarea Wilson began her musical experience at the tender age of seven. Having supportive parents, she took piano lessons which eventually led to songwriting and singing while she played the piano. As office administrator at WJJN 92.1 and WAGF-FM 101.3, Jarea caught the program director Jimmy Doctrie’s attention. After hearing and seeing her potential, Jimmy introduced her to Dave ”Jam” Hall, which led to this beautiful collaboration. In addition to her music, Jarea Wilson is also a brand ambassador and the brains behind Quest Apparel Boutique, which aspires to inspire and motivate people in their daily lives.
