Kylie Rothfield is an uber talented singer, songwriter and guitarist whose distinct and soulful voice compelled Alicia Keys to describe her as “a blossoming, powerful flower with so much heart, so much talent, so much emotion and vocal power”.
Kylie has also had her songs placed on ABC, NBC, MTV and E! Network and has been featured on such platforms as Epiphone.com, SheShreds, Bustle, Billboard and Rolling Stone for her performances.
Today, we’re going to talk about her recent release “Ghost” which we had the pleasure of reviewing.
“Ghost” is co-written with Ester Dean, Ryan Tedder and Shane McAnally and has been featured on an episode of Songland.
“Ghost” was written about lost love and the feeling of drowning in emptiness in a big city. As there are so few female producers represented in our industry I feel really honored to have produced, written and performed this one. then sent it to the Grammy-winning Zack Djurich (Kanye, Teyana Taylor) to mix and master.

“Ghost” is an amazing composition. Kylie’s songwriting is top of the line in conveying a very relatable theme of trying to get over a past love.
“In a city full of ghosts, you’re still the only one that haunts me”, she belts out majestically in the song’s chorus.
Kylie delivers such tremendously powerful lines in a song full of a variety of clever metaphors and wordplay.
Her vocal performance is outstanding in projecting the concept of the song as the emotive manner in which she belts out the chorus gives the listener a very authentic feeling.
