K-Pop Group BTS Busts YouTube Record For Most-Viewed Video Premiere With ‘Dynamite’
YouTube announced that Korean pop group BTS broke the record for the most-viewed premiere video.
YouTube reported that 3 to 4 million fans tuned in live on Friday to view the group’s new music video, “Dynamite”, which is the group’s first single in English.
Dynamite gained the most views in the first 24 hours blowing away the previous record held by fellow Korean pop group Blackpink, whose debut How You Like That received 1.65 million viewers in June.
How You Like That also held the record for most views on the first day with 86.3 million views. BTS surpassed that mark with Dynamite which pulled in over 90 million views.
No strangers to this type of viral video success, Dynamite marks the third time this year BTS has had a Top 10 in first-day music video views.
